Emouna
Emouna was purchased at Tattersalls December Sales on Wednesday 29th November 2006.
She gave birth to her first foal, a bay filly by TRADE FAIR, on 11th March 2007, and was then covered by KYLLACHY. The resulting foal, a bay filly, was born on 5 March 2008. Emouna has been booked to visit THREE VALLEYS who stands at Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud in 2008.
Emouna is the third foal and third winner from her dam Red Rabbit. She raced in France at 2 and 3 years when trained by Nicolas Clement, winning at Cagnes-sur-Mer over 10f and also registering two placed runs: when 2nd over 1 mile at Cagnes and 4th at Deauville over 6.5f. Her half-sister, Spinning Ruby (Pivotal), was a speedy winner of 2 races over 6 and 8 furlongs and achieved an official rating of 93. Emouna is a daughter of Cadeaux Genereux, who is the broodmare sire of 2006 Gr1 winners Notnowcato and Rajeem and also the sire of Gr1 winners Bahamian Bounty, Bijou d'Inde, May Ball, Embassy, Hoh Magic and Touch of the Blues. Emouna, a strong, lengthy chesnut, is very reminiscent of her sire in appearance. She descends from an illustrious family, including 2000 Guineas winner High Top, Irish and French Derby winner Old Vic and Yorkshire Oaks winner Green Lucia.
